August 29, 2013 • COMMUNITY, FEATURED, FILM

Former NO PROP intern Patrick Melon has released the teaser trailer for his upcoming documentary Strong Light, a film about the abandoned Florida Housing Projects, Hurricane Katrina, art and society.

Visual artist and founder of 2-Cent Media in New Orleans, Brandan “B-Mike” Odums, has transformed the abandoned Florida Projects into an underground art gallery. Through a campaign over Instagram the artist has dubbed #ProjectBe, several more creators and curious visitors have ventured into this space left desolate since Hurricane Katrina to contribute their individual glow. The result is a concentration of very strong light.
